1960年代、サンフランシスコに在るDerby of San Francisco社がワークウェアとして当時発売したのがカップショルダージャケット。

1980年代には、パンクスやスケーター、バイカーといったハードコアシーンでは多くの人気を集め、広く愛用されていました。
そんなカップショルダージャケットをPARASITEではニ加脂の馬革で仕上げました。

ポーランド産馬革原皮使用
クローム鞣し
ガーメント用にクローム鞣しされた柔らかい馬革を通常の倍量オイルを入れ仕上げています。
馬特有のしなやかなハリ感を残しながら独自配合のオイル仕上げで着心地の良いレザーです。
手に残るようなオイルでは無いためベタ付きもありません。

馬革は自由放牧の為、生前の傷がかなり多いです。
今回は表面に顔料を乗せない完全素上げですのでギスや肌荒れが全面にでます。
さらにダブルオイル仕上げと馬独自の自油も相まって革一枚の中でも色ムラが激しくでます。
この色ムラが着込んでいく程にさらなる表情に仕上がっていきます。

In the 1960s, the Cup Shoulder Jacket was released by Derby of San Francisco as a piece of workwear.
By the 1980s, it had gained strong popularity among punks, skaters, bikers, and other hardcore scenes, becoming widely loved.

At PARASITE, we have recreated this iconic Cup Shoulder Jacket using Horse Double Oil Leather (Nikashiji).

Made from Polish horsehide

Chrome-tanned

The leather is chrome-tanned for garment use, then finished with twice the usual amount of oil.

While retaining the natural suppleness and springiness characteristic of horsehide, our unique oil blend gives it an exceptionally comfortable feel.

The finish is not greasy, so it does not leave oil on the hands.

Horsehide comes from free-range animals, so it contains many natural scars.
This jacket is made with completely unfinished, pigment-free leather, meaning all scratches and grain irregularities appear directly on the surface.
Combined with the double-oil process and the leather’s own natural oils, each hide shows strong color variations.
These variations deepen and evolve as the jacket is worn, developing a rich patina over time.
